    ... the last time I go under the hood.

    Mixing a PV '65 neck with a Tonerider Classic blues, gives a quiet pos. 4. So I've gone CB's neck and middle, this solves that and they are great.

    The Quarter Pound in the bridge gives me the growl I require. Wires will need to be crossed to achieve noiseless in pos. 2.

    Conclusion;

    Don't mix three different pup manufacturer pups, I've found.

    I'm happy and feel this combo is going to work for me.

    The Classic Blues are great pickups. I also like the City Limits set a lot, they might be my favorite replacements.

    Had a Quarter Pound in the bridge of a Strat many moons ago - also a great pickup for that spot. Looks like you've got a good combo!

    Yeah man, those City Limits are alnico V EAD and alnico II GBe. I'm guessing warmer treble strings.

    Accurate. Warm, verging on dark IME, but not in a bad way.

    I seem to like all p/u w/ alnico II. The attack is just soft and pretty, and the treble is perfectly subdued. Bass can be a little unfocused, sitting back in the mix, but a little eq and you're good.

    I've gone alnico II on my Charvel HH. More pleasingly musical, instead of being a brute!
