Here is a rough mix of something boyo did the drums for and I have been messing with the rest. I use a template these days that has busses and effects and parallel compression all set up so it sounds kind of mixie mixie but I have not really gone through and done much. I would like to thank Butch Vig for the interesting drum presets.

Precisely. Desert Rock Blues with maybe Lou Reed pretending to be Iggy Pop or vice versa. I don't do a lot of guitar solos on the original stuff but this one seems to want one.

You should live closer. I could use some help. :D

I like it -- it has a raw energy to it. It's like a caged animal.

I feel like whatever comes in around 0:32 has to match that rawness. A simple guitar fill/solo might fit nicely in there. I'm hearing something on the bridge p/u with distortion.

Thanks very much for dropping by. I have been going back and forth on whether that turnaround should be a kind of pause/rest or whether to do something with it. You vote to do something. That may work better. The vibe I am going for might be better served by something crunchy and delicious. :D

Recycling some old ideas with new production ideas. Sometimes, the things you think are right but everyone say are wrong, are actually right. It's funny how songs sort themselves out. This is ending up far more heavy than I expected.

Good stuff, I really like the sound you're getting with the drums.

Yeah, this was fun, I really liked those samples, some kind of EDM thing maybe? They are odd sounding on their own but sounded good with the heavy stuff. Also, I no longer even try to record guitar amp with a dynamic mic on the cloth. This is a LDC about a foot away from the amp. This is what I like.
