Ahhh , so many that go under appreciated. I was born in 1950, certainly I've seen much !
Thanks to an older brother and sister who also loved music, it all goes back to my grampa who fixed radios and record players for a living, and his record collection ....American Bandstand was a must watch every afternoon.

Brad Paisley has a lot of good guitar instrumentals. This one, "Cliffs of Rock City" is one of my favorites:

This is the most iconic rock instrumental ever. Anyone who doesn’t give Link Wray credit for being the first Punk Rocker is not seeing the big picture. Link Wray invented Punk Rock.

I can’t imagine the 70’s without this chart topping rock instrumental tune! Hocus Pocus plays Focus!….ooops I meant Focus plays Hocus Pocus! Hahaha.

This one ruled us as kids! I also built a custom guitar for Brian Carmen in the mid 80’s, which was an honor since I played his song in my first band.

It was always awesomely weird that they set up on stage like that with the drums and bass spread on opposite sides with the guitar players in the middle. They were the coolest.

This one is a family favorite. We'd never heard it, it played on the radio when we were cruising around in a rental on vacation maybe 3+ years ago. Honestly I was like "wtf is this?" and the kids loved it with all the repetition and the odd sounds the singer makes.

Found the full album on vinyl used a few months later. The whole thing's pretty darn good.

This was in heavy rotation on AM radio back then, and was part of the soundtrack of my youth. It still rocks!
