Well, just for conversation, I prefer a mesh bikini brief on hot days. It allows that breeze in to keep the twins cool.

    “Christlike”? Please just GFYSASAP

I NEVER said I “prefer making guitars for professionals” which is not true.

I said professionals don’t usually obsess over minor cosmetic issues, and that folks who do are a luthiers worst customer. These are facts, not opinions.

You posted the comment which I took as light hearted and made a light hearted response, from a luthiers point of view, and now you’re calling me names.

You’re the arrogant one who can’t take a joke.

The very fact that you are now angry over my “light hearted” comment shows a real level of arrogance and immaturity.

I also never said you were that customer. I was making a general statement, you only assumed I was talking about you.

I actually thought the original post and question was a pure joke.

It was only after you got butthurt by my comment that I saw it differently. You just inferred that from my comment which kinda proves that you know I was right and you’re just too embarrassed to admit to be that anally obsessed guy.

Tried that once on my motorcycle. For anatomical reasons it didn't work.

Something to ponder regarding the thread title:

Can tiny nuts give you a blemish?

I thought of a low risk way of "fixing" that. The hardest bit would be be color matching.

Using the tip of a drill bit carve out a shallow saucer, slightly larger than the darker bit. Could be easily be done by hand.

Find a paint or pigment to match the surrounding wood. Test the paint to see how it reacts with CA glue in the nest step prior to application. Use just enough to cover the freckle.

Use CA glue to fill the saucer to rise just above the surround head plate.

There are many vids on the subject, here is a good one. With no finish color to match, it will be just that much easier on a Fender neck:

Must answer me these questions 3…

Incendiary post incites minor flames, OP goes ballistic, accuses forum of abuse… is there a handbook for these guys?

I used to have a guy who would come in for a “Half a Set Up” which meant he wanted me to do half the work for half the price, but still wanted it to play right. Haha.

You're absolutely right. I interpreted your comment about professionals as punching down and personal, but you never made it personal. I did and I'd like to apologize for that, I was out of line. It's unfair to start a light hearted post then take it personal at something simple. I don't know why it rubbed me wrong but it did and for that, I'm very sorry. Good day!

The recent Tele build…Sanding -30 min, sealer & sanding - 1day, 6 coats of gloss black-2 days, 8 coats of clear -2 days, waiting to wet sand- 10 days, wet sand -1 hour, hand polish -1 hour…..putting it on the table and forgetting to move the truss rod wrench -2 secs, it’s a scratch I’ll live with and remember the lesson of always cleaning your work area! 7F519EBB-ECB8-49E4-9463-B28BFA225D37.jpeg

I'm growing weary of these threads, so I stayed out.

Why did I suggest an easy fix for a non-existent problem? Crazy2L.gif
