The previous owner of my Lite Ash Telecaster tried to take a mark out of the headstock with a Dremel by the looks of it, and this is the end result. That kind of hacking drives me nuts more than the mark ever would. Now there's a nice gouge in the headstock because of it. Never bothered to try and do anything with it, it is what it is.

You're going to need to cut the headstock off.

Consider yourself lucky -- mine had not only a blemish, but also a bubble in the paint just below the bridge. I had to take off the whole bottom of the body, too.

LOL the OP needs a new hobby and/or change of medication. meanwhile, on the other side of town, Scott Baxendale saves the thread with cool stories about Being Out In The Real Life -- and also, i might add, stories which happened NOT to involve deep scanning an instrument primarily meant for playing THE ROCK AND ROLL

this thread reeks of TGP and it should be ashamed of itself. i got them low down khaki wearin / wife-havin / dentist drill wieldin' / relic hatin' blues ya'll !

    Dumble train a'comin !

    TAG knows tone, etc ...

Maybe some 2000 grit on a block, REAL LIGHT, and then polish, like Meguire's #7. Both at your local auto parts store. DONT SAND THROUGH THE LACQUER.
