I'm tired of drive pedals, with my trusty twin reverb all the overdrive starts to sound the same to my ears after awhile.... I think speakers play a major role here.
Pls suggest me a good COMBO amp for my strat, for an edge of breakup, low gain, dynamic sound.

I bought a used VickyVerb for $1450... SilverFace Super Reverbs go for around $1100.. both sound great with no pedals... you can put an attenuator on the super if you want.. I made a great one for $40 in parts. Vintage Deluxe reverbs are good but are getting too expensive

Boss Katana 100 Artist Series mark 1. You’ll never get bored of the distortions on that thing.
Then buy another guitar if you want to spend the whole $1500.

It appears you can get a Mesa 5:50 Express+ or a Lonestar if you look hard for that price range. Both used.

I have the 5:50 Express+ and I can get some great clean and OD tones (and more if I want) from the amp. They are no longer in production, so right now prices should be pretty good.

The Tweed will sound different from your Twin but still has the fender amp sound. The Vox I think would be the most different type of sound.

My #1 is a 2007 ac30cc2x with UK alnico blues and full jj's (gain monsters).
Does it all.. huge gain on tap, so no need for drive pedals or boost. The reverb is good and the trem also. I don't use anything with it live except a Strymon Lex and a Zvex Instant Lo Fi Junky.

Those things are surprisingly cheap used. I see them go for £400-£500 on fleabay quite frequently. Most people have zero clue how amazing and well built they are and broken in blues are just so versatile.

If you really want to spend the whole wad the world's your plaything. Can get pretty much anything if you buy used.. I'd look for an early 70's JMP 50 head and pick up a modern used 1960a to run it through.

I'd hang on to the Twin Reverb and buy a BOSS '59 Fender Bassman pedal.

There's so many choices...but it seems like you have the same wants and needs of what I was looking for - Fender type sound, but more flexibility. I really love my new Rivera - total Fender like sound, BUT you can dial in exactly the dirt you want from barely to really overdriven and have your exactly dialed in dirt on the lead channel. I'd highly suggest the 2 ch Clubster, and the EQ is super responsive! Very well built. Just the (25/12) head was $1500, but used about 1/2 that. I absolutely love the center divider look of their combos... Kinda wish now that I had just went for the combo. The overdriven sound is WAY better than the Fenders, in my opinion....

I had a Messa 5:50, for about three months. Noisy, whistled for no reason, distortion sounded like an electric shaver in a biscuit tin and anything remotely clean didn’t exist. Didn’t like it much!

No experience with a DR Z. Absolutlee 100% agree with the other two choices. Especially the Supro, sheesh what sleepers those things are.

Blackstar HT 20, perhaps? I had a 40 but found it overkill for me, the 20 hits a better spot for what I do. Plus it's lighter lol!

It's its' own thing, not a Marshall, but cool. I liked mine I bought a second for stereo. You could do so and still meet your budget.
