I bought Marquee Moon when it was released purely on a review in the NME.

I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful album.

One of the most oddly inventive players I ever heard. I could never wrap my head around what he was doing well enough to incorporate ANY of it into my own playing, but I absolutely loved hearing him do it. Kind of like Richard Thompson, another favorite who I couldn’t claim as any kind of influence, but who’s playing I absolutely love…

Two albums blew my mind during my first year at college. One was Never Mind the Bollocks, Here Come the Sex Pistols. The other was Marquee Moon by Television. And Patti Smith Horses.

Just heard about this only this morning. Such a great, creative guitarist. Surely Marquee Moon is one of the best debut albums of all-time.
