Some random dude basically poured cement over a mould and made a concrete body that can rival any kind of strat made by the most experienced luthiers and people still talking about electric guitar "luthiery" and tone woods that breathe and resonate.....
Which ever way you look at it, this is some ‘concrete’ evidence that will likely get the tone-wood supporters all ‘excited’.
I reckon mastercrete cement sounds better than rugby though, and the difference in aggregate makes a huge difference to the mids...
I'm surprised he didn't just drill bolt holes to mount the neck. He didn't seem to have any problem drilling other holes, and you can't add a shim after a neck has been epoxied into the pocket.
Hmmm? Do you have any links to other similar concrete Strat threads on the site? I’d definitely be interested to read them.
If you do a search for some variation of "end of the tonewood debate" you'll likely see dozens of these threads. The concrete Strat, the cardboard Strat, it's all been done before and they frequently wind up locked. Just sayin'.
Well, there certainly have been plenty of the tone wood......errr, debates but there’s nothing else I can find on a concrete Strat, that is apart from this one. The cardboard Strat was fun but I’d never heard of a concrete Strat build until I discovered it on YouTube just the other evening.
