Not the usual post in this thread, but I figured it's worth a shot.
I am looking to trade pickups. What I have are like new condition Seymour Duncans

1 - Seymour Duncan JB TB4 w/ Floyd Rose string spacing
    1 - Seymour Duncan Jazz SH2N

I am looking for a pair of EMGs with pots and jack.
Specifically an EMG 81. The other EMG can be an 81, 85 or 60, either is fine.

These Duncans will come out of my 2008 Jackson RR1, and will include three pots, a three way switch and an output jack.
Everything is as close to new condition as can be, and have seen very little use.

If I dont get any trade offers, I will be pulling the Duncans for EMGs in the not too distant future, so if you're in the market, keep me in mind.

    Thanks.

Dirty Fingers are nice, really nice! I had them in my '85 Explorer.
    I'm looking for EMGs though.

Now that I've gone all digital, the EMGs are the perfect pickup for my set up.

Watching, in case you decide to sell the pickups separately!

I will only sell them as a set. If I sell one, the other will end up in the parts pile, never to be seen again.
Shipping them to Australia would probably cost more than the items are worth.

I'll trade you. I have (2) EMG 81 pups that I'm not using. They are plug-in style, not the old solder only variant. I can send pics if you like.

Hi @ursamajor, and thanks for the offer.

    I have my new EMGs.

If the mods would be so kind, this thread can be deleted.

    Thanks

If you traded for the EMGs, good for you! If not, I'm still interested in your SDs. (Endless tone quest,....)

I bought the EMGs for a great price during a Cyber Monday sale.

Now its just a matter of finding the time to do the swap.

I will keep you in mind, and if youre still looking when I pull them, maybe we can strike a deal.

Did you get the 81/60 set or the 81/85? I had the 81/60 set on my 7 string, very versatile. I liked the 60 so much I inquired about getting another for the bridge but the EMG guys suggested a 57 so I now have the 57-7/60-7 set I love it. We'll be needing some sound samples soon. :)

My favorite combination that I have is an 85 in the bridge and a in the neck on my Charvel.
I also have a Jackson with an 89 (85 with coil splitting) in the bridge and two S/A's (middle and bridge).
I just can't jive with the 81 for some reason.

Lots of players prefer the 85 over the 81. I like the 81 as its more mid focused, compared to the wider sonic spectrum of the 85.

I went with the 81/85 combo. Though I do like the 60.
