Trem and jack, opinions?

    The bridge looks like the one on the Affinity Strats.

    What Model of Strat is going on ?

    Depending on the model or what not the Screw Spacing on the Bridge can vary and same with the String Spacing. And from that diagram on ebay Im not sure what hes using for his measurements but it sure isnt mm.

    Not sure the vintage will fit an Affinity. IIRC, the Affinity body is too thin to allow for the standard Strat block.

    That jack plate doesn't look black to me it just looks like a dull chrome one. Could be the pics though.

    Could i not take the top part off the block and attach it to the orginal block? assumig they line up?

    I'm pretty sure the hole spacing ins different. Besides, the whole idea of changing the bridge on a Squire is to replace the crappy block.

    Does the block really matter if the thing is so tight ya cant really move it anyway? Im goign black for looks.... Cheesey... totally, but pups got my tone in check and the bridge/trem is for the sustain....

    The trem can affect the tone also. When I swapped to the Callaham trem, my tone got a little brighter.
    I put a MIM trem on a Squier body. The block sets flush with back of the body, when the springs are on it is pass the body. If you are going to lock the trem down this shouldn't be a problem.
