Weird. The saddles look more like Squier style cast jobs. Im probably the oddball but I prefer them
That they do and yes you are an odd ball
I'll take pics of them when I get home.
The body is slightly transparent, you could see the wood grain through the paint in person from the alder body.
Here's a close up of the saddles
Do you have a picture showing the underside of the original loaded pickguard so we can see the pickups from the other side?
I'll make sure to post the underside of both pickguards when I get home.
Ya, definitely a Partscaster.
The body and neck do appear to be genuine MiM, so that's good, but the saddles are Asian.
Here's the original pickups
There's writing under the trem, intials or something.
At least one of those is not original.
Two are cheap ceramic, not uncommon on MiM models, but not original to the Deluxe Player... and the neck is Alnico.
The soldering is horrible... that is not factory work.
I like the fact I can run the screws deeper than stamped. I'll shim the neck until I have the adjustment screws below the surface of the saddles and they still have plenty of thread left. The fact they a cast doesnt bother me...
Just of interest why do you do that?
Dont like the feel of the screws sticking out.
