It's my understanding what I don't want is pure tung oil, but rather a modified tung oil. Rather than assume, if it does not say pure tung oil on the label is it a modified tung oil. Is there a particular brand you recommend.

On a slight tangential question, I've been watching a couple of different videos on finishing a neck with oil. There are slight variances on how many coats as well as wheather to lightly sand between, before, and/or after applying the oil. Is there a particular video that you think shows the process well? As always thanks for your guidance

Rockler sells the pure stuff, it works fine...but takes longer because it hasn't been modified. Much like using Boiled Linseed Oil.

I usually use whatever I find at Home Depot. Minwax, Formby's, Danish, Watco, etc.

🤔 Hmm. I didn’t even know tongues had oil. I thought it was just saliva…

Or is that the kind of oil you cook lengue tacos with?
