Stairway to Gilligan's Island by ??? Dread Zepplin ???
The ventures did a version of Hawaii 5-0. In my humble opinion it was awful.
Back in the 90s there was a compilation CD of different bands and artists doing classic TV Themes.
My fave was this one. A fella named Victor Mizzy doing his best Sinatra, covering the great Addams Family theme. It's a hoot and a half:
Used to have the 7" single of this. I think this was the B-side to "Makes No Sense At All" if my memory serves (of which there is a 50/50 chance.)
What I love about this is that they didn't "camp it up." It's heartfelt and un-ironic. It is just killer.
You have me confused....you are joking right????
You are 100% correct, sir...I still have it:
Not tv but along those lines
My favorite version of the Peter Gunn theme:
My favorite PG theme (yes its me LOL)
Very cool! At 2:16 is that a CCR riff?
Old Man Down The Road and Born On The Bayou.
Oh yeah, it’s all coming back to me now!
Just kicked me back about a century...
John Aston was just too original, too phunnnnny
Vic Mizzy wrote the song. And Green Acres too. Vic was a smart guy. Kept his publishing instead of signing it over to the studios for a reduced composer fee. Lived in a big house in Bel Air thanks to his smart business guts.
