In a related vein, I ran across this beast for sale recently. Might be somebody's attempt at Antigua -- on what was probably one of the last Jaguars made at Fullerton.

There's nothing wrong with that Jag that a re-fret, a refinish in some '70s color, and maybe black pickup covers wouldn't fix.

I don't think that's as fugly as a straight Antigua burst.

See, I look at that and think, "It's got a great vintage white pickguard." That pickguard means that I don't have to hunt one down to refinish it in any period-correct custom color I want. The bridge isn't original, but it would be replaced with a Mastery anyway. If the pickups are original and the date stamp is still visible on the neck I'm a buyer at $1800 or so...

It's vintage, I forgot but I think it is a mid 60's someone had either refinished it or customized the olympic white not sure-

It's no later than early '65, which is when they went to pearl dot markers instead of clay.

Not so much the colour but rather the finish... I've played one and it's truly horrible.

Please don't shoot me but the only common colour that I don't like is black. Eeek, I'm in trouble now. :)

Ok, I feel bad for being honest. I suck.

Not a fan of the neon green, especially in a burst.
