I played one of these at Sam Ash a couple of years ago (may have even been this one) and really liked the sound and feel. Aesthetically, not so much. Godin G Series.

Fender Starcaster. What was I thinking when I bought a brand new one of these? It was, by far, the worst guitar I ever owned. I still have the case but got rid of the guitar years ago. A complete moment of madness

I know that you’re looking for ugly that we LIKE, but I couldn’t resist!

This was my 2nd electric guitar in my life...it's about 50 years ago. My friends called her "The toilet seat"...for what I remember, it was playing nice.
And don't laugh about my socks in sandals...it's a long time ago....loll

I have one and I love it. I don't think it's ugly but many people does.

I admit to being prejudiced in this regard. I do not like any ugly guitars. In fact, I can barely look at anything other than a strat or a Les Paul. I find teles borderline, and pretty much anything with a pointy headstock butt ugly.

I know this makes me a bad person- but I'm nice to animals and small children.

The Parker fly. If you've never played one I could see why it is rough to look at. The shape is because the guitar is perfectly balanced. Because of the carbon epoxy exoskeleton on the back, and the fretboard, this guitar weighs probably 4 lbs. Stainless steel frets. Does not even need a truss rod. These were like the original guitars with piezo pickups. Wildly expensive, wild looking, and awesome.

For me the headstock has to be proportionate and somewhat match the style of the guitar. PRS violates this rule for me, but I still love playing them. However I will never own a Music Man for that same reason. That TINY little headstock drives me crazy, especially the St. Vincent. They all remind me of a baby head on a man's body
