I try to concentrate to get the most tone out of my fingers;)
No, seriously, you can’t make faces while chewing a whole roll of mentos

I figure if you’re gonna be a showoff, at least acknowledge that you know you’re not all that. I mean, there’s a 15 year old girl on YouTube who plays this better than me
It’s pretty humbling to get your ass kicked by a 15 year old girl!!

True, but you could have gone full stage performance and downed a coke with the mentos.. Eruption indeed. :)

Hey thx Gary! A lot of us teenagers back in the ‘80’s just used to copy EVH and Randy Rhoads - we’d practice their licks for hours.
But I think we ended up sounding kinda generic- there was a whole bunch of kids like me who could copy those guys pretty good but never developed our own styles

    Yo thx Chris
It’s a DiMarzio FS1- it’ll give you that kick for harder rock
Malmsteen used ‘em, I think KK Downing from Judas Priest too

Sooo good to to hear you play brother and you killed it, we know what EVH meant to us back in the day in the age of disco and awful music and even kiss came out with a disco record, Van halen was everything at that moment. hearing you play it made me smile real big, killer job brother :D.

I was I think 12 or 13 when I first heard this, right when the album came out... My sister brought it home and we were both floored... There was Before Eddie and After Eddie...

I knew I should have applied myself more as a teenager - and learning Eddie Van Halen instead of Stan Getz.

No... Between Stan and Eddie, I'm gonna have to go with Stan. What an incredible musician! Focus is one of my all time favorite albums. (Stopped listening to VH over 30 years ago...)

Damn dude that was incredible. I wish I could have a nonchalant "sit down and blow through some Van Halen" moment on the couch.

    Thanks for sharing that.

glad to see the guitar body has finally dried and you can rest your arms now.

also happy to see you are putting your arms to work and ripping up that sweet guitar.
