Seen a lot of deer in my time
    But
    Today was a first
    Three young bucks
    One 4 beginner points
    One two 7-8 inch antlers
    One just bumps
    All three shedding velvet
Velvet still hanging from their heads
Fresh bared antlers Red and pink

Tried getting close enough to photo
    No deal

Yup fall is coming on strong.
Our fawns are starting to loose their spots and a I saw my first bear poo of the fall in the village last evening.
Some of the hiking trails in Whistler BC have been close to let the grizzlies prepare for hibernation.
The prediction is for a hard winter this year which for us means lots of rain on the coast and tons of snow in the mountains...bring it on!

Quite a few Muntjack deer around this area and they're normally pretty shy but it's the time of year they get a bit more visible.
