That's just plain funny
the worst thing about my job is that every single advance was paid for with the suffering of one of our patients... it really teaches one to milk the most knowledge out of every bad outcome...
not for him
live and learn i guess.
It sucks for the calf but try to resist the temptation to punish the horse for it. We have a tendency to anthropomorphize (easier written than said) our animals but animals they still are. It's we humans who have to learn how to protect our captive creatures from each other.
yeah man im not going to do anything to the horse, even though im mad at him. ill cold shoulder him for awhile though.
you cant help that... a good friend just lost one her two dogs, to the other dog! she knew her one guy was a neurotic mess, she was giving them both a good home, and one day back in october he just bit the little guy's head and caused a wound so bad that they had to put him down. and now she has to still be a loving person to the dog who killed... it was hard for her for about the first month to give ear scratches etc...
when i was little we had a cat named summer and it ate all her kittens and my mom didnt really know what to tell me.
Dang. Horses can be brutal. Ever since I saw that video of a horse killing a croc I've never looked at them the same
Buddy of mine has a few horses. One had just had a new foal. I remember him telling me that the mother would not let any of the other horses go near the new baby. She was fiercely protective of that foal and was very aggressively defending it from the others. I see why she reacted like that.
Put that baby cows daddy in the pasture with that mean horse .
she knew they wanted to kill it i guess.
i never knew horses were so bloodthirsty.
Just curious, are these animals properly domestic, or just kinda free range grazing on "private" property?
Oh that sucks large! Poor little guy.
Having owned horses in my youth, I can attest to the fact that some are down right nasty.
Shetland ponies can be miserable little buggers.
thats usually the case when dealing with bullies.
well, they arent wild.
i would say they are all domesticated.
Off topic but a recent good news story in the frigid Texas weather. Dog pulled from water after having fell through thin ice.
9 out of 10 horses are dickheads. Just like people.
Was the horse a stallion, a gelding, or a mare?
My wife's family has lots of horses, mostly thoroughbreds, they can be vicious. I stay on the other side of stout fences!
Saw on PBS one time a male zebra stomp to death a zebra foal. Not a pretty sight.
