Well I stumbled across these videos of the Classic Vibe. Sounded very impressive and spot on to me. Contacted Brad at Classic Amplification (seems like a nice enough fellow) and placed and order for one. All units built as ordered so I have a 30 day wait time. I’ve got quite a few vibes but it seems I always want another.... could the search finally be over? Tune in in 30 days to find out... same Bat time ... same Bat channel!!!!

Real Cool Gumbo. I traded into a Fulltone MDV2 and I absolutely love it. Gotta have some vibe in my life. All I need now is an Octavia/Fuzzface etc to get that sweet Hendrix tone.

Man.. I for one am super looking forward to your opinion on it when you get it. As much as I like the Deja, it for some reason is not as satisfying sounding as I'd hoped. I have this sound in my head that I am trying to get to and so far everything has fallen short in one area or another.

Needless to say this is interesting to me.. Maybe this or the Vibe2/Vibe Bro, who knows. Something will get it for me one of these days.

    Maybe.. :)

I have 3 Deja Vibes. A big white one from 98’, a CS Hammond box from 2000 and a MDV3 from last year... and a Dunlop Uni-Vibe with Jimi on it and a Drybell Vibe Machine V1. My sickness is real!

I know what you mean Ciggy! That 3D liquid sound is so illusive. Most of mine well get you in the ball park but fail to hit the home run under critical listening conditions. I’m hoping this well end the search. At $250 it’s not the outrageous price of some other units. Maybe I can finally let some of the ones I’ve been hoarding go....

Yeah the $800 or whatever it is for the Vibe2/Vibe bro unit is a real poke in the eye. But $250 though, thats more like it. :)

    Brother ‘Gumbo,
I caught it from you when I had yours a couple years back. I’ll always be a Marshall gain guy so no fuzz pedals needed but I’m still going back and forth between the MDV2 and my old green $45 Dano Cool Cat Vibe from 2010. If I had to cut down to amp reverb and one outboard effect, it would have to be a Uni-Vibe.

Those Classic Vibes are sick!!! I played one a guy here locally was selling about 4 months ago. Sounded awesome. I just don't use vibe enough to justify the cost and my Deja does what I am looking for.

I know what you mean brother! The first time I plugged it in and turned it on I was hooked! I love getting some DSOTM action with it, sounds amazing.

    Sounds nice and watery.
You can never have enough Vibes in the effects locker.

I too took my MDV MkII out of the loop. It began to sound shrill to my ears.
I put in my FoxRox Aqua. It's doing the job for now. It has, however, very specific power requirements.
I like my vibes warm and syrupy, like the Sweetsound Ultra.
I am considering adding a Roger Mayer Voodoo vibe to my collection.

Yep, me too. Waiting for the review. :thumb:

I’ve been eyeing that DryBell pretty hard for some time now. And if I read through this correctly, that does seem like an awesome price compared to either versions. You’ve got the Red one right? That the V1?

    @chrimturn
Yes I have the older Red version. I must say it’s a good unit... it has such a strong effect. Like at noon on the intensity is were most vibes stop. But the Drybell can just keep going to generate a ridiculous THUMP or THROB.... it sounds best with both knobs set at noon then make small adjustments to it. Plus it’s tiny. It what I use on gigs the last few years.

Nice! Hopefully you will post a demo when it arrives!

I’m a vibe fanatic too. Been through a good number of makes and models. Been on the JHS unicorn V1 for a few years now and I love it but I’m getting the itch to try something new

Does this have the chorus/vibrato switch or is the speed supposed to do that?
