This arrived the other day from reverb. I wanted to try this out and recently sold a Swollen Pickle. On bass this thing KILLS. I usually only use OD on bass but I wanted something that had grind.

I also love the scratched back...looks like an ASIP radio.

It looks to be the “smalls” version MKiii. Basically a smaller version of the original. From what I’ve read there is little difference but there does appear to be small subtle differences in the guts and sound - but not enough that most will notice.

I would like to pick up the original version one day myself.

For some reason and I don’t know what it is but when companies crunch down the size of foot print of a pedal it irks me lol. Kind of like what you also see with EHX in the last decade. I understand it’s to help with saving space and whatever but I miss the days of big box uniqueness like the Mu-Tron Bi-Phase, EHX Big Muff, EHX Memory Man and more. Glad to see some boutique manufacturers like INDUSTRIALECTRIC and Beetronics and are starting to bring these full enclosures back. Something about crunching it down and whatever just gets me lol but that’s just me lol.

I’d love to try one, soon! @The-Kid, it’s a clone.

    Here’s an interesting review.

It's a clone of the Sovtek Big Muff from the 90s when Mike Matthews was in Russia (aka - Red Army Overdrive).

I looooove this pedal. To fund a new bass I sold a vintage Swollen Pickle and while I don't regret the sale I felt....well...pickle-less. I did a little googlin' and found a deal on the Russian Pickle.

I'd recommend it to anyone who likes muff style fuzzes and is looking for a new flavor.
