@Connecticut, The stocks consist of placing boards around the ankles and wrists, whereas with the pillory, the boards are fixed to a pole and placed around the arms and neck, forcing the punished to stand. Victims may be insulted, kicked, tickled, spat on, or subjected to other inhumane acts.

A precursor to investment strategies
I'm partial to Chinese master soup stock, lots of chicken and some pork, slivers of ginger and garlic, and green onion tops.
We still have both stocks and pillories locally, we use them for people that don't know the difference between them and those that can't spell.
