Hello all. This one has me stumped. The buyer really wants to sell but warning lights are going off for me.

Almost a Roadhouse, almost a 70s reissue, some kind of mutt?

    • MIM neck
    • Three bolt neck
    • Locking tuners
    • Bullet truss rod
    • Stamped saddles
    • 6-screw trem
    • Mint pickguard
    • Cheezy background
    Help y'all! What is it?

judging from the string trees, tuners, bridge, and neck heel shape, I think it's a fake. It's at best a classic '70s with a lot of non original parts, but that neck heel shape has me doubting that it's authentic at all.

The neck heel rang an alarm bell here to. Also the string trees are the wrong type. Maybe others will chime in with more insight.

To me it looks like a modded MIM Classic Series 70s.....

Looks like probably a Mexico serial....

I'd have to see more pics to call fake....or legit....for sure....

Hard to tell on those 2 pics alone

Unfortunately those are the only pics I have so far. Buyer has gone silent since since I started asking questions.

It very well could be. I blew up the pic, and it's hard to tell, but those may be locking tuners. It looks very much like a Classic '70's, but you can't make out the serial number, and that neck heel bugs me.

It's some sort of partscaster. Nothing I'd be remotely interested in...

My first thought was a 70's RI, but it would have to have parts swapped for that to be true.

But if it played and sounded great and the price was good I might be interested.

Body and neck look like a legit 70s reissue mim with added parts. Three bolt neck and bullet look good to me. How much is it is the question?

This is the biggest red flag. If it's modded it's up to you if you like how it is, which it sounds like you do. But if he won't even give you the serial number to check....

Ahhh it's killing me I really want this thing, if only to tear it apart and see what's going on. The bridge bugs me the most for some reason.
