Tried 11's on my acoustic, felt ok at first but ended up going to 10's and am much happier. My Taylor still sounds great and the tone projects but the best part is my fingers like me again. Didn't even do an extensive internet search I just said "antstrat (that's how I talk to myself) just do it and see what happens".

Wow, can’t imagine 10’s on an acoustic, even one with the Taylor scale length. I would imagine since Taylor designs and braces their 314 for 12-53 that you got some volume reduction.

I’ve played 10’s on my Larrivee rosewood acoustic for years and my tone and volume has been great. Mic’s and Records well in the Studio as well.

Honestly I can't really tell a difference and the tone is still there. Of course this is at home with no other noise going on, can't say how it would be in a band setting. It just feels better and I'm more comfy fingerwise.

In the package it was but on the guitar it's straight across the fretboard.

In a band setting I would amplify or run direct in through a PA to keep up with any drum set any way.

on my acoustic right now is a set of my electric strings.....10's, but they are only on there because I ran out of 12's.
I have more acoustic strings now, but im not gonna waste a set of good strings.
plus, I can play lead stuff on it pretty easy right now, lol.
