I use the same gauge. 10s.
I have no problems with volume on my acoustic. Plus .... easy on the fingers, easy on the neck and top also.

I double stop bend the heck out of that guitar!

its ok when youre young to use heavy ass strings. I used 11s with super high action.
but now that im older and maybe my fingers aren't as strong, and im not fueled by the kind of fuel that was going through my body then, it might be cool to lighten up on the workload. to hell with these 11s....try some 10s. maybe even 9s.
back in the day....I would have broken a 9 inside of 5 minutes.
but I don't play as hard as I used to.
I don't know if that has to do with getting older or if it has to do with maybe playing more. I don't know.
    maybe both.
or maybe its just the natural evolution of things.

It takes more of a man than I am to play 11s on anything. I’m a wimp and admit it.

I use those 10's on one of my acoustics too.

I'll use whatever is best suited to a particular guitar determined by myself based on feel and string tension.

Lighter strings are easier on the fingers, but acoustics often sound stronger with heavier ones. People often go through lots of different strings before they find something they like best.

Yep! The lighter gauge has more 'zing' to my my ears. The heavier gauges are more of a dull 'thud'.

Tried 11's and they lasted about a week and a half. 12's seem to sound best on my Breedlove dread. They don't really feel any different than the 11's either. YMMV of course. :)

I still have four sets of 12-52 Martin Marquis. I’m currently looking for an acoustic to put them on. GAS......

They are definitely a workout on a dread if you’re soloing and bending, depending on your hands of course. If I play my Martin with 11’s for awhile and then pick up a Strat floating with 9’s, I always over-bend like crazy at first and have to concentrate on reigning things in to stay in pitch during bends. I have one Strat set up with 11’s. It feels a little more like the Martin when bending, but obviously still not nearly as hard. It’s my go-to Strat if I’m feeling vigorous and wanna get a little physical.:D

I’m thinking about getting an Ovation. I won’t have money for it until summer. I’ve had them before and I really loved them more than I did a Taylor I had. They are so cheap I might get two and set one up for Emajor tuning and one in standard tuning.
