What are the connectors called on a speaker?

    It's a 1/4 inch type plug from the amp, and at the speaker it looks like some type of crimp connector, anyone know what those are called?

    Like a flip up thingie with holes underneath?
    Speaker wire crimp connectors., a/k/a quick splice terminal connectors.
    You just cut off about a cm of insulation, and stick the bare wire in there.

    the terminals are called spades and there is a female spade and a male spade but that part is self explanatory.

    I call it solder. Because I don't like crimp/spade connectors.

    At Mojotone they have them with and without insulation. Pretty cheap, and awful handy if you swap speakers.

    Which, come to think of it, I’m doing today. I’m replacing the remaining V30 with another Celestion Gold in my 2x12. If I had to go to trouble if desoldering and resoldering I’d probably never get around to it.

    But you can solder the Gold in there because that won’t need to be replaced.
