My eye is on a 59 reissue Les Paul. I know, strat forum and all that. I got the strat and tele I want, so this is what is on my hit list. However, with all the bad press Gibson guitars have been getting I am finding hard to act on one.

Been there done that. I owned 2 over the course of 3 year period and decided I am a strat guy through and through.

I had an '07 R9 that was very nice, and of of the 2009 50th Anniversary R9 that I was lucky to buy early. After they were sold out, a (semi-famous)player/collector from Georgia (who I'll keep nameless) offered me just shy of $1k over what I paid, and off it went on it's merry way to the Peach State...:)

Though my local Fender Dealer who is also a Gibson dealer claims the current Gibsons are among the best he has seen in his 35 years of business. Sales pithch? I dunno, he knows I'm not a Gibson guy after the last time I tried owning one so there would be no need to pitch to me and he knows that... so...:?:

After the floods how is the supply of new Gibsons?

White/cream Strat. I'm practically foaming at the mouth for one.

    Well, either a '57 RI.....

    ...or a '50s RW.

Although the other day I saw a metallic orange HSS Strat with maple FB in a music store and haven't gotten it out of my mind since. Don't know why... Maybe it tickled my "funky-bone"! :p

A copy of the 1952 Les Paul. It is a tribute to him after he died. There are 564 made. 6 for each year he lived.

Get the resonator; you'll love it. It's like a completely different instrument. Check out Republicguitars.com. They make a lot of really great import resos.

Been gassin for my health back, guitars pale into insignificance when your not too good.

Embrace life a whole lot more, get off the clacker and see things instead of worrying about trivial things like my next guitar.

Having said that i hope to start my Ancient Kauri teles after i get the Baritone done, wont be long ;)
