I like it when metal groups from other countries are able to incorporate their traditional ethnic music into their sound. Makes it unique
I've been taking a trip down the ZZ Top discography. I started with the First Albums from 1969, and listened to all 16 albums, all the way to Billy Gibbons solo album in 2015. Quite a journey. I got inspired to go back through all the albums because of the Netflix special "ZZ Top 50th Anniversary". I had forgotten completely about some of the albums. XXX and Mescalero are surprising after all these years. They were so different. I realized something I knew. but hadn't really thought about I suppose. Billy Gibbons is an amazing songwriter. 16 albums of truly great music. Anyway, the Perfectamundo album is quite a sonic experience. Cuban influence and Billy's guitar style, work together amazingly well. So, I'll post this little gem. The solo is instantly recognizable as Billy. Short, sweet, and tasty.
