I have an associates in Law Enforcement, Bachelors in Criminal Justice, Certificate in Robotics and an Associates in Computer Science, got the last one in the early '80s. I started my Masters In Computer Science years ago but stopped going, got sick of school.
Those are the degrees but I've studied a lot of other things.

I have a degree in Aerospace Engineering as well as music. Chad, I would strongly suggest that you double major in aero and mechanical engineering. Getting a job in the aero biz is next to impossible.

Honestly, I think the engineering opportunities for young people will be for those who invest in majors that work well for green technologies. That's were the opportunites will be in a few short years.

I got my BA in professional music from Berklee in the early 90s....emphasis on music technology, music business, and guitar performance....but I quickly got a job at an Enterprise Software company about a year after. I haven't really made a living from music ever since (15+ years now).... I dabble in studio work and occasionally gig with local artists, but it's basically become a hobby that pays for itself.

I also became a certified master practitioner and trainer of NLP in the early 2000s. It's help make me a better communicator and motivator.

I first went to school for aerospace engineering, then marine biology. Without a Masters or PhD, those are worthless. I'm going back for my RN right now, but I'm not sure that some sort of audio, tech theatre degree wouldn't suit me better. Cheers.

    Miami, Minnesota, or Michigan?

I know some of the faculty at the University of Miami.....Randall Dollahan(sp?) is an amazing player/teacher, although I think he is part of the jazz faculty.

Very. I was in Scottsdale for 11 days, flew home last Friday. I saw you are in Chandler. I thought about seeing if you wanted to do lunch of diner, but thought it a bit odd as I was in the hospital and only got 3 hours a day outside.

Biological Pre-Medical Illustration. Basically I draw, paint, watercolor, computer design, pictures of all things biological. Organs, organisms, cells, etc. for textbooks, research labs, magazines, and all kinds of other clients.

Iowa State is one of less than a dozen public universities that has an undergraduate Illustration program. With luck I'll be done here fall of 2010.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It's partially psychology and partially communication and motivation skills. It can be misconstrued as a new age philosophy because of the popularity of people like Anthony Robbins, but at the end of the day, its something you study, practice, and get good at, just like anything else in life.
