What do you think about people who play American Professionals that aren't pro musicians?

A professional is someone who does something well enough to get paid by someone else to do it.

The bar owners and event managers who hire musicians don’t care if you live by your guitar or not: they want a show for their business and they don’t hire amateurs (at least not twice).

True, s'pose it depends on your perspective, I was just pointing out the way the terms tend to be used, at least in the UK.
