Do you trust your Clip on Snark Tuner or your Boss TU-3 Tuner?
Mine never line up which seems weird.

They all use different software. Get 10 different tuners and you'll likely get 5-8 different results. I noticed this when I started playing last December and asked the same thing. I was basically told pick one and stick with that one so you're consistent.

Based on nothing, I trust my boss tu2 more than the snark.

But I use the snark out of convenience. They are pretty close to agreement.

When we were jamming (pre Covid) my buddies would plug into my
TU-3, which was a hassle so I go a Snark and passed it around
so we were on the the same page.

I also use the polytune and it's always on spot with my pedal, and the rest of the band...

    +1 on the Polytune polychromatic.

However, I trust my new Peterson StroboStomp more.

I had a peterson 420 strobe tuner I trusted for years. Like the one on the table in this picture.

Now it's in the care of my loving ex-wife.

I use an old boss tu 12 which I calibrate to a Peterson strobe tuner. That way they agree.

The ability to calibrate is key.

    I have a Snark, a Boss Tu-3, and a Polytune.

When I'm playing acoustic or straight-in, I'll use the Snark - It's pretty darn good. If I'm using pedals (unusual these days), I'll use the Polytune because it's faster; one stroke and I know which strings need tuning.

If I'm setting intonation I'll use the boss - since I sold my Korg rack tuner. The Boss is sufficiently accurate and isn't as "jumpy" as the other two.

The Snark conveniently fits my gig satchel and doesn't require a power supply or a second cord - or any cord at all. Battery life could be better, but it is what it is.
