This sounded pretty good with a 5E3, but not as good as the Menatone Red Snapper, so I sold the above. The Red Snapper sound fabulous.
In the past 48 hours, I bought:
* Ibanez JS style body (to be built with AANJ to accept a modern Ibanez neck)
* Ibanez RG1070 neck (11-piece, 24 jumbo SS frets)
* DiMarzio pickups (Mo' Joe + Satch Track)
* assorted harware and components for this new build

Just ordered a Faber aged nickel TP59 tailpiece from ADP Guitar Parts, somewhere in France.
It'll go on one of my guitars along with the aged nickel Gotoh ABR1 I just got. I'm thinking I may end up swapping the aged parts over to my Goldtop. I'll see when the tailpiece gets here.

A guy I’m friendly with at the local instrument store (George’s) recommended these, so I got them. He said they’re known to be warm sounding. Any opinions on these 12s for a Martin D-28.

I have one of those I believe. Mine is a Spider IV 15. I bought it 6+ months into learning to play. About 2 weeks later, I bought a Fender Mustang II so I stopped using the Spider pretty quickly lol.
I ordered some strings a couple of days ago. They were advertised at 10 sets(EXL110+ x10) of D'addario 10.5's so I ordered them.
They sent me ONE PACK of strings. So I screenshotted the ad and circled the places where it clearly says 10 SETS, once in English and once more in Japanese. Then I kindly explained that they owe me 9 more sets of strings.
Currently waiting on a reply. Screenshot attached from the ad. What I've circled here says "EXL-110+ x 10(sets) <--that's what the Japanese translates to. Even without the translation, it CLEARLY says "EXL110+ x 10" (aka 10 sets)

I can’t find the pics, but a while ago D’addario were clearing out their discontinued coated acoustic strings, and as I was doing lots of acoustic gigs I ordered in an Amazon deal that was offered on 100 sets of 13-56 thinking that this was going to mean no more string purchases for a long while, and much reduced gig ‘overheads’.
They sent me 100 x individual 13 gauge strings, and, bafflingly, what must have been 200 or more X 26 gauge (the G strings) and nothing else. What’s worse is that they weren’t all in individual packets, at least half were just coiled the way they come and tossed in the big box that they shipped in.
I had a hell of a job getting them to accept a return and give me my money back, and in the end had to open a case with Amazon (who did refund me pretty quickly when I sent the pics).
