Hey guys, ever seen a piece of gear somewhere, and thought that it looks absolutely wrong? I have, and hear are mine..

    Strats with HH config
"Superstrats" with vintage trem (either FR or fixed bridge, please)
    Teles with 3 pickups

Please list yours, if u have any!

hahaha I hope this thread doesn't go up in smoke... For some reason, teles without pickguards (no matter how nice the grain) bug me. Teles should be covered! I guess I'm a traditionalist in that respect...

Easy on the tele's with three pups... Its the Nashville deluxe... want one guitar to get tele and strat tones? I have a custom built in sea foam green that has the body contours.. yeah offends the telecaster purists.. but this guitar can't make it's mind up.. am I a strat or a tele... !!!

I don't like most pickguards with glitter, US flags, or just about any non original guard

I didn't know nashville teles had cutaways too; that's actually pretty cool. Also, there's a slightly... disfigured guitar as a google ad on this site right now. if I may...

Them is fightin words. Just last year I completely reworked my tele and added a strat middle pickup. I love it. All the sustain and power of a tele plus two funky notch positions. Perfect. I will say though that it has to be wired so that the #3 position gives you the neck and bridge pickup together like the middle position on a standard tele.

A tele with three pickups and no way to select the bridge and neck together is just plain wrong. I tried it that way and I know. It is just plain wrong.

I've gotta say, my 3 pup tele is probably my favorite guitar, and I own more than a few. Strat/Tele tones, cutaway for comfort, classic look and feel, it's win/win all the way.

Something I think is just downright wrong:

Directly inverse proportions of talent to gear.

Something that is probably wrong bu I am strangely attracted to.

This four pickup Tele... it's kind of the evil twin to the ESQUIRE that I am going to assemble.

strats without pickguards, and strats with anything other than SSS pup configurations (that one's just a personal thing, no offence to anyone). Also gold hardware, and floyd rose bridges on strats... oh, and lace sensors still look wrong to me, as do lipstick pickups in a strat (a la SRV's white strat clone)...

Words just can't describe how much I HATE every one of Bumblefoot's (from Guns and Roses) guitars.

I am ok with HH strats, 3 pickup teles and gibsons. I do not really like guitars that have both humbuckers and single coils in them, it just doesnt work for me. And I hate guitars that are shaped like something other than musical instruments.
