What is a good example of Quack?

    Mike Oldfield got heavily into out of phase sounds starting with his 1984 album Discovery. "Let There Be Light" from The Songs of Distant Earth is a good example.

    Yeah, I don't know what quack is but that right there & tin pan alley, to me that's the sound that defines strat tone to me.

    It just hit me to ask the simplest question...what kind of music do you like? Maybe there would be a familiar answer from that pile.

    I think quack is wack.
    That comb filtered sound is the great equalizer. Plinky plonk plunk. :D

    One of the best examples I can think of of the in-between position Strat sound is 'The Core' by Clapton off the 'Slowhand' album.
