Sorry to be such a downer for you. I never get miffed when someone doesn't want to buy my partscasters because I don't build them to sell but to play:p:D. They also never hang on the wall that long either as I do play ach one when I need them.;)

Ditto this and overall I don't feel embarrassed to ask a seemingly simple question or send a request for help.

One caveat, however: Everything is simple to the simple-minded, or seems so.

In point of fact, of course, nothing is.

It is therapeutic. Until you say something or ask about something that someone else sees or thinks about in a different angle.
Then they jab at you and you jab back and before you know it......
And it goes both ways. I am as quilty of it at times as I am irritated and hurt by those that do it to me.
I usually am the one jabbing back but I have said things too.
I am trying to be a better person but fall short of my own expectations.
It is easy to forget not everyone feels the same about anything but we all feel the same about our Strats. We love them.
So I say lighten up and remember we all have a common bond.

When my wife asks, I say it’s a place for like minded individuals to discuss G strings and hardtail bodies

Seriously? I come here to read and learn, not especially to post and respond; and certainly not to offend someone if I don't give a response.

In response to the OP, it's a forum of like minded musicians where I can learn from and maybe help others.

As you can see, I've been a member here for 8 years and have under 20 posts!

    First:
Mutual love of the Stratocaster and all things thereof.
    Second:
Better than hearing words to the effect of "that's nice dear" or "why do you need more than ___ guitars?"
    Third:
Where else can a playa go to get approval of his pickguard color choice?
    Forth:
Silliness aside, to be with comrades bearing the same arms, listening to tips, tricks, opinions and sharing love of music and all things strat always makes it a worthwhile visit and escape.

I guess ultimately it is an escape. I enjoy that it brings people together and that we can talk about things we have in common. And I Also enjoy sharing experiences and blabbing about my guitars. There wasn't a lot online when I bought my Vintera 50s stratocaster modified, so I like talking about it.

A great point to ask, answer, inquire about our beloved musical instruments and also a way to get to know other musicians around the world both beginners and professionals because we can learn from everyone. Ciao!

Maybe sometimes I can impart my 50 years of playing experience, repair experiences that work for me over the years.
Lot's of novice questions and answers that amuse me to no end. But it's mostly fun, at times annoying ...just like bandmates !
    Keep playing, keep learning !

I guess I’m only here to be the “Christlike Luthier”?….. as was pointed out to me in a earlier discussion. LOL.

No really, I’m just here to share my guitar knowledge with the younger generation and waste time that I should be using to write and record music or building guitars.
