Just a praise to the Mods... Thank you for help keeping this place a refuge among the polluted sea of internet social media sites. And to the membership that is somewhat self policing when a posting party goes too far out on a limb.
I bought guitars and amps.
Life is good,
Oh God, is that Buddy Ebson? Can't un-see that...
So you're telling us that it's a dod eat dog world and you're the one wearing bone underwear?

I'd like to say that this was the nadir of American television, but compared to today's offerings it's Shakespeare. Yes, I kid you. Dance, Granny, Dance!
Can't find a best one. I can easily find many worst ones though.
Things are better in some ways, worse in others.
Normally I avoid all the pukey talent shows , but :
Built a 5e3. Would never had known to use a Celestion Gold had I not followed this forum. Pure magic. At a recent jam, a friend was using my 5e3 and I was using my $2700 boutique amp. I thought something was wrong with my guitar, a Fender Pro Tele, that I never played live before. Turns out the guitar is fine. The 5e3 simply kicked ass convincingly. Game changer.
This place is great. I have met some nice folks and learned a lot.
I picked up and left Illinois for a life and a job out west in Phoenix. It was a huge life change for my wife and I but we are really loving it out here.
Became a much better pianist. That should get me thrown out of here
seriously, since I joined, I've met some very cool people, built a few guitars, learned a thing or two, finally got in a good band, and laughed a hell of a lot.
and when I got divorced, those of you who were here helped me out during a pretty rough time.
I started participating in jam and challenge threads and have improved my playing.
i tasted a smelt.
from a smellhole?
Hmmmm.... couple months ago I opened my small basement rec room to a bunch of teens who had no space to rehearse... they even blew the dust off some of my underused gear, which has been real nice. My son is on bass, and have since convinced him to stand, he had his pick from over fifty comfy straps LOL!
All the crashing and roaring reminds me firmly of my own home as a teen, my brother was a talented heavy prog drummer at the time (think King Diamond), now leads his own much more mellow band in Calgary. Of course I played guitar at the time as well, learning power chords and all that chugga chugga stuff
The best part of this is, they already have a "gig" tonight at the local hall, (I think they are running through the five songs they know), so I am pretty proud.
The Euroguestocks. Meeting great people, making new friends, playing "live" again and getting motivated to learn new songs and play better.
My thanks to everyone who organises or contributes to them in any way.
I posted that one meme that was funny.
