I love sad music. I love songs that make me feel desperation. Yes, I like music that makes me feel negative feelings. I know some people can't even fathom wanting that feeling from music, but I love it. I find a lot of beauty in these kinds of songs. They make me feel very powerful emotions that most music doesn't even try to communicate most of the time. I like music that makes me happy as well but music that is this sad connects with me in a way nothing else does when things aren't going right in my life. For me, the undisputed kings of sad music are Radiohead. They were the band that got me into liking this kind of music and most of my favorite sad songs are from them. But I would like to hear more. So, with that being said, what are some of the saddest songs you know? To give you an idea, here's a prime example of what I'm talking about: How to Disappear Completely. This song just oozes alienation. "I'm not here, this isn't happening". Denial, desperation, numbness. This is a very powerful song in my opinion. This is the feeling I'm going for.
