Charcoal Frost Metalic is now my favorite color! But you need the black pick-guard to really show off the color. OMG, I'm GASing.

Interesting. My initial response is that it looks a lot like the Gunmetal Blue of the late-'80s / early-'90s American Standard / Strat Plus models. GMB looked a lot like your pics when it was new -- many of the GMB guitars from that era have yellowed over time and now have a distinct green-ish tinge that they did not have when new.

It's definitely not LPB and Mercedes Blue is much darker.

Charcoal Frost metallic is a new one on me, not seen that before (that I can remember) but it also seems pretty close to the OP pictures. I'd be interested to find out what it actually is.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Gunmetal Blue as I really, really wanted a Standard in that colour with a maple neck back in '89...!

I bought an American Standard Strat on reverb, several years back. I had to identify whether the pickups were original by the colors of the wires. There are pictures on the internet of various pickups, and their wiring leads. I don't exactly remember the sites I went to, but try and google/duckduckgo same.

Metallic Charcoal Frost, my brother had the Mercedes blue strat with the bound neck and the humbuggies, it was almost black like someone said in a previous post.

Update: OOPs you said Mexican, NOT AS.

Here is the list of color specs on my 2006 American StandardStrat, that Fender sent me:

    Colors: (700)* 3-Color Sunburst, *add $70.00,
    (705) Olympic White,
    (706) Black,
    (712) Candy Cola,
    (719) Jade Pearl Metallic,
(747)** Sienna Sunburst, (Ash Body),**add $100.00 for Special Wood Requirements,
    (769) Charcoal Frost Metallic,
    (Urethane Finish)
    Body: Alder on:
    (700) 3-Color Sunburst,
    (705) Olympic White,
    (706) Black,
    (712) Candy Cola,
    (755) Blizzard Pearl,
    (769) Charcoal Frost Metallic,

I would guess. Charcoal Frost Metallic

And here is a picture of the original pickups, on my AS. Judging by the color of your wiring, and the initials on the back of the pickups, I don't think they're original AS pickups.
