They're out there. I've seen some really nice ones going anywhere between $400-700. They play great and weigh a ton! The cases are a trip.

Seemed like everyone had one when I was a kid. In 84'/85' I had a Peavey Backstage Plus amp, but played a Kramer.

Just watched a piece of that cool concert... Discovering artists I would not necessarily pay attention to : that’s what I like about Strattalk.
The fact he plays a Peavey is a bit weird

    Not a T60.

That's a T27 Special. The specials had the Rosewood neck. I had the standard with the maple fretboard. Second from the left.

And Carl would support someone from Mississippi. Playing a Peavey fits right in with Carl's thang.

I'm one of those who considers Carl the un-crowned King of Rock'n'Roll. He could sing, write, and play. Triple threat.

I bought my T27 because Carl played one. If it worked for him, it'd work for me.

The music school I went to as a teenager had one. As far as I can remember it was actually quite good.

Based on what I’ve seen on the second hand market: cheap guitars, with nothing special. I guess people keep the good ones and sell the crappy others.
But you made me change my mind. One of these days I’ll buy a Peavey, if I find a nice one...

It's a Peavey. One of the worst guitars I've ever played if not the worst.

These were all over in the early 80s... I coveted one, right after the Strat fetish... Had a loud Peavey amp to go with my Fender, a Pacer, maybe? Plugging it in one day I managed to touch a prong... Quite a jolt...

You need to play a Peavey Vandenberg. That’s the Peavey that will change your mind. They also had some super strat and Tele style guitars that were really good.

I like Peavey stuff, and have an old US made Peavey Strat that’s a great guitar. Needs some fret work, and to me that says it’s a good guitar. Come to think of it, I think it’s the only long term guitar I own that’s never had the pickguard off of it. Wonder what’s under there....???

They go for 500 or les for a american made Peavey. The T-60 in Guitar Center used section is always 500 or less. Strat copy and others. I want one myself. My Guitar Center had one but I had just bought another guitar that year or amp. So that was that. Thay are really heavey.

Although this isn't a T60, I do recall when they came out. I was pretty young at the time and was floored by the crazy weight of the thing. Didn't seem right for scary riffs (all I did at the time) so I dismissed it.

There's Austin City Limits footage on the y00t00bz of Jerry Reed and his cats, all Peaveyed up to the gills. Clearly they had a sponsorship, but they all sounded great. His band was no joke.

I'd entertain the idea of a peavey guitar if one came along.

AND Carl Perkins was a certifiable Badass

I saw one of the Army bands playing all Peavey guitars at a NASCAR race. Those guys sounded really good
