Are these saddles purposely made crooked to compensate for not having individual saddles?
As Thrup'ny said:
I use these:
I like! Who makes these?
Squier Classic Vibe.
They are called Gotoh in-Tune saddles.
"Crooked is as crooked does," my momma always said.
The first pic posted looks like Wilkinson saddles, they work good too.
Yeah, I haven't even had to adjust them.
I like the Gotoh's because they are grooved. I can be a bit heavy handed, and my strings like to move around on the smooth saddles.
I have the same CV50s model, nice that they came stock with these saddles.
I hear ya, I bash them around a bit, too. I got the Wilkinson saddles first because that's what I found first online when I was looking for a set. Later on, I did file some string grooves into the saddles to keep them in place.
I have a set of six saddle, Wilkinson bridge I got from guitar madness. If I can get saddle Bridge I will.
I’ve assembled tons of tele’s, for my expert ear,(& conn ST-11), the Bardon bridge with the crooked saddles rules!!! All Parts also stocks a quality replica that sounds great & intonates near perfect!! I know, I’ve got great ears & bad intonation drives me crazy!!!
