If you guys have a little time to kill I'd like to know what is your Ultra DREAM amp if money wasn't an issue AND assuming since it's your dream amp it must be a great amp, what about it makes it so great OR what does it have that others just don't???

Dumble overdrive deluxe signed by Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and god.

    It's a JCM800 with a 5 Watt setting. What more do I need to say? :D

I sometimes crave a Swart or a Dr. Z, but in all seriousness, my Pro Jr seems to be perfect for me. I have been surprised by my recent purchase of a Champion 50XL, which sounds really great.

Like tastebuds, the sounds in my head vary from time to time I don't think I have a dream amp.

I own my dream amp... a Fuchs ODS 50 head and 1x12 cab.

Why is because I heard the delicious sounds made by other players I knew that played through them. What's so great is that it's the best (IMO) of the 'Umble clones... smooth jazz overdrive when you want it, rock and roll grit when you want that. Iican't get a bad sound out of it, and it does everything I've asked it do, from face-scratching glass to "Crossroads"-style Marshall roar. And it's built like nothing I've ever seen, which leads to its only downside (the weight).

I'm having a love affair with my Marshall JTM-600 (60 watt head)

Well, currently, my dream amp is a Supersonic 22 head. I recently traded my combo away, only due to its weight. I'm biding my time with this little Marshall. Otherwise, it was what was I was looking for, and am saving to git one. Sorry, not that exotic a choice.

Well, only money and my happy marriage separate me from a Bogner Ecstasy! Love my wife too much to even think seriously about it. IF I were gigging regularly again...AND had my old corporate job...AND it was 20 years ago....sigh!

I AM loving the amps I have NOW though! So...no real pain....

I like my Blackstars and my Hughes and Kettner. I'm sure there are others I would like just as much or more but I'm not enough of a gearhead to go out chasing them down

My Mesa Mark V 25 is as close to a dream amp I’m gonna git. It’s small, and easy on my back, and has enough poop to be heard with a drummer. And it covers a lot of territory, like Marshall, Vox, etc.

You have had a few nice ones come through if I recall correctly.
The bogner would be a nice amp to have, I'd like one myself.

This kinda puts a different spin on things. It might be more helpful to you if you tell the forum the type of music you like to play/tones that interest you. This will open up a lot more possibilities for you to start looking into.

Something with 2 channels. The first channel nails Allan Holdworth's lead sound. The second channel nails his clean rhythm tone.
    Yeah, that will do.

I can imagine my dream amp would be the Mesa Boogie Mark V, but it would have to be a dual-amp configuration.

The only problem with the Mark V is that there are so many options, and you cannot change certain settings with a foot-switch.
