That's pretty much where I'm at, The one thing I know for sure is I just hate it when I feel like playing particular guitar sound and I jump through a lot of hoops and still not have near the sound I felt like playing at the time, and if I do get it it was after an hour or two to get it and by then there wasn't much time to enjoy it...

Interestingly, I already have an Eleven Rack but I have only used it for recording and have never tried it through any kind of amp/speaker setup. :D Hell, I may already have something that will do most of what I need. :D

    Well, I did say "I think..." :D

I've had very good experiences with modeling and non modeling SS amps. I've owned the Yamaha THR 5 for 6 years and I did own the THR 100H for some time, they both sound great and act pretty much like tube amps while still being more versatile. Especially the THR100 wasn't marketed as replicating any specific tube amp, it was its own thing and did a great job of it.

    +1

Made the mistake of trying one at a festival.

Incredible! Fat, crystal clear, incredible harmonics.

I'll never have the $$$ and the chops to deserve and afford one.

    Big mistake!
