No matter what your musical taste, if you don't dig .38 Special and Bad Company at least a little, you need to loosen that collara a little. lol

(Feel free to dislike Bon Jovi and Axl Rose, however.)

I knew just one song, and played it fast, medium and slow... who was that? Albert King?

For me... bleeding heart, 3 hours past midnight, needle and spoon.... random notes throughout.... 3 songs all slow... with intermittent vocals...

Right now I'm trying to learn Sleepwalk inside and out. Its not terribly complicated but I'm having a hard time getting some of the chords to sound the way I want them to in the beginning and mixed in with some of the melodies. My plan is to record it in a few passes so there's a few different guitar parts. I got no band so I'll either try and do a drum loop or maybe try and use my looper...

here's a couple of things I've enjoyed learning... be gentle LOL

Quarantine noodle trying to work out this solo which I really think is a short but fun solo.

Recorded this a while ago but I'm a huge Gilmour dork so I'd obviously going to be on the list. As far as Gilmour solos go I prefer playing Time but can't seem to find my recording of that.

My version. Never played it until @Nate D asked me to. But I'd heard it all my life. :D

Another vote for Rush La Villa Strangiatto. Also, "Red Barchetta" is a lot of fun to play, especially the accelerating car solo, as is "Limelight" and its solo too.
I used to play Queensryche's "The Lady Wore Black" a lot, and I also like "Operation Mindcrime", particularly the solo.
Scorpions "Rock You Like a Hurricane" solo is one that I learned off of a youtube instructional video because it sounds so amazing. In fact, that solo sounds impossible.
Most of the time I can actually play it without messing up, but it is very challenging.

I LOVE Joe Satriani's "Flying in a Blue Dream", but I cannot get past the 1:44 mark (clearly I gave up too easily and should seek out a youtube lesson).

I love playing “always with you always with me” - the main section is great but I fail on the solos - badly - lol.
I tend to warm up with a lot of Police (Roxanne, message in a bottle, etc.), or U2 (Pride, Sunday Bloody Sunday), then I with jump in to SRV, Stones, LZ or revert to my metal days (Metallica - anything on Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets, Crue, GNR). Wherever my mind and hands take me, I can’t help but cover “Sultans of Swing” - one of my favorites to play for sure, just an incredibly fun song and sounds right at home on a strat...

I’ve got to write a song and I’m procrastinating, music is easy ,lyrics not so much. Everybody in the group has to come up with a tune . Just for fun really.
