Usually Ernie Ball .10's but last time I bought 9's.
DR Pure Blues 10s are my favorite.
Ernie Ball super slinky(.009-.042) on my electrics for 20+ years. Best strings I've ever used on an electric, IMHO. They last a long time and I can count the number of broken strings in 20+ years on the fingers of one hand. For acoustic D'Addario Bluegrass med/lights(.012-.056).
Ernie Ball super slinky cause they come in a nice pink packet! jk
I use D'addario 10's .
US Std Tele : .10 Thomastick Infeld 's Powebright (amazing strings! very bright)
US Std Strat : .10 Elixirs (hated them at first but they are really growing on me...)
US dlx Strat : .10 Blue Steels (really do not like them, find them too stiff)
Godin LG : .10 Nickel Rockers (GHS I believe... ok but not my favorites)
Ibanez AF105 : .11 Thomastick Infeld 's Flatwound (great strings for jazz)
It looks like I'm still search for the best strings since I just noticed that I have different strings on all my electric guitars!
Yes, I agree. I also use Curt Mangan strings. They are nice asw well.
Guess I'm the only one who uses the Fender Original 150's... and I play with .10/.46
D'addario 10-46's for me & D'addario 11 - 50's on a short scale start I have
Ernie Ball 11's
I use Ernie Ball regular slinkys and I like them, but then again I haven't tried out a whole lot of different strings. Probbly try something new next set, its about time to change them again.
I use D'Addario 10-46's on my electrics and Elixer Nanoweb Lights (12's) on my acoustic. I've tried other strings on my electrics but I keep coming back to the same D'Addarios.
I use D'Addario 10-46. They're a benchmark string for me that I compare the other brands to.
I have tried many kinds and it comes down to this. I like DR pure blues. .09s or 10s. I also like dean markley blue steel .09s or .10s
I also like bullets but not as much as the others
I'm in! I use D'Addario 11s more than any other string. Either the plain EXL115 (11-49), or the EXL115W (ie. with the wound 3rd). I really tergiversate on the subject of the wound third.
At the moment I've got GHS Boomers 11-50, on my Washburn J6 jazzbox, which was wearing D'Addario 12-52 (Jazz Light they call them, actually I went up to the Jazz Mediums 13-56 on that guitar once, but that was just pure masochism!), and my Maton electric, which had D'Addario 11s. The GHS 11s are a pretty decent string too.
The Squier Affinity Strat I bought just recently (the day I joined here), has been upgraded to D'Addario 11s as well.
Ernie ball super slinky on my strat and also used them on other guitars. LOVE them, though while changing strings today the high E string broke on me (new one) while stringing it up. Anyway, I love the EB Super Slinkys.
I have D'Addario .09s (EXL125) on at the moment, but I think I'm going to go back to .10s
I can't really tell the difference between strings (yet), I use D'Addario cause they're the cheapest I can find
D'addario '10's... which seem rather popular. Consistently decent and cheap.
