I used photobucket until they started charging. Then I switched to good old tinypic, but it's gonna be shut down.

    So... what now?

No, I'd rather choose another free site. I already pay for too many services. Won't pay for posting pics into forums.

I've got my own domain and site sitting out there in the blur of the Web. If I need to host pics, I just make a directory and upload them there.

The hosting service I use has plans from $6.00/mo, $72/yr.

You can drag and drop photos into the text box for posting images here. No need for an external storage site. :)

Aside from Drag and Drop, you can also do this. Open the folder on your computer that contains the picture you'd like to use. Right click on it and choose "copy". Then in the text box such as the one I am typing in now. Right click and choose paste.

I used to use PhotoBucket until I got fed up with their extortion fees. I've been using Imgur as of late with no real problems.

I use Google, Facebook, Onedrive, and Amazon. All free versions.

I have not used links to images in long time now. I seem to be able to cut and past images from these sites fairly well. Depending upon the web hosting software being used, one of them may not work, so use one of the others.

Wish I could find another site for small dollars.

Yeah, I used to have lots of cool (photobuck-et) photos ready for posting on ST. o_O

+1 for Imgur. Free, reliable, and easy to figure out.

Since Photobucket started their extortion, I've switched to VGY, which is free and unlimited.
