These songs are the ones that immediately take me back. Some aren't great, but you asked. Lol.

Don't judge, that one came out while I was in high school. Ha.

Each one reminds me of a specific moment. There are others too. High school was only a decade ago for me, though. Still fells like yesterday. Of course there are others that came out when I was in high school that make me think of that time, even though I didn't actually listen to them. Like Lady Gaga stuff, Kesha or whatever. I also listened to a lot of Korn and the Offspring and stuff. A lot of things! And my first years of college also had a soundtrack. Every year has a slightly different soundtrack and music makes it easy to remember. Ain't life grand?

I think Paul Rogers is one of the best rock singers of all time. His voice is about as perfect as it gets for rock.

So, so many - pretty much anything they play on "classic rock" radio stations when I go back home to California.
But this is the one that started it all. I was building a playlist for my 50th birthday party (originally supposed to be 1 song for every year -- ha ha, I hate picking one of anything... ended up with 1.2 days of music...), browsing "Top 100 hits of X year" lists, hit play on this one, and was instantly transported back to my high school quad. It wasn't even a favorite song of mine back then. But it took me there.
Anyway, making this playlist made me decide to take up guitar. Bought a starter Yamaha acoustic, signed up for lessons a year later, and here I am...
    Thanks, LZ! :)
