So I got this fender strat and was told it was a classic series 60s. But not to sure. I have taken it apart and that did not help. Anybody have any ideas what this is ?
The serial number does not help either MX10196958. And the neck plate is one for the micro tilt which may have simply been added. And the bridge is not the 2 screw it is the normal 6 screws.

There are sites you can use to at least look up the year and location of manufacture.

    https://www.guitarinsite.nl is one.

Looks like that one was made in 2010-2011 at the plant in Mexico.

Hello, many more pics needed. The serial from the neck returns a classic series in 3 tones sunburst from Fender Site, which of course haven't got the micro tilt adjustment.

Can you measure the fretboard radius?

I could not tell %100 it was 9 or 12 radius. And has medium jumbo frets.

The neck, if it's 12" radius with medium-jumbo frets is from a Classic Player 60s, not a Classic Series which would be 7¼" radius with small vintage frets. The body is from something else, neither has a microtilt adjuster in the body.

The body bar code in the pickup rout and part number (54169) stamped in the neck pocket show it's a Classic Series 60's 3 color sunburst.

Fender sells the hardware for the micro
tilt. Could have been added afterwards.

Ok so its a classic series with a aftermarket micro tilt. But somehow has medium jumbo frets and is not 7 " radius. The serial numbers all say it is the classic series. Only odd thing is the neck does not fit the size of the classic series guitars.

Strange, Fender own site reports it as a classic series. Refretted to medium jumbo and added the tilt?

And the radius altered too, if it's not 7¼".

Sure, the board could have been planed too...

If it was regretted and planed someone spent more getting that done than it would have costed to buy a classic player neck lol but who knows.

Measure that first, it might turn out to be a 7.25 board refretted with med.jumbos....
To measure a radius by eyesight can bring you to wrong assumptions :)
