    Hey y'all!

    So here's an interesting one:

(And before you read, I understand nothing is free, this is completely hypothetical haha!)

So imagine they announced on the radio or TV or anything that everyone is allowed to claim ONE FREE guitar from anywhere, but this offer was only for a day and again you can only get ONE!

DOES NOT HAVE TO BE NEW EITHER, can be used or even vintage!

What would you pick? This is a good chance to think about that next guitar you want!

I'll go first I guess, I would pick up a vintage 1969 Stratocaster, same year as my favorite mustang and I love 60's strats!

well, fine choice in cars! I love a '69 Mustang too. Boss 302 for me please, and for guitar, put me down for a 1949 ES125

Two scenarios come to mind that would influence one's answer...
    1) pick a very expensive guitar for re-sale or
    2) it's meant to be a forever guitar that you aren't allowed to re-sale

I won't bother with the first scenario, but for the second mine might be a well-kept 1957 or 58 blonde Mary Kaye Strat

The current crop of R8 Les Paul's from the Gibson custom shop are phenomenal guitars, the neck fits my hand like it was made just for me.

Either one of the original 450 or so Fender Nocasters or a vintage '59 Les Paul. Then I'd sell it to the highest bidder. :sneaky:

The finest Gibson Hummingbird I could find.

Vintage or new matters not to me. I'm not steeped in guitar history so I don't feel the weight of such baggage. I like to play them, not collect.

    A standard Telecaster,
I don’t have one - and they were my first desire - yet unfulfilled.

I have the other boxes checked - LP, two MIA Strats, an in-process Strat hardtail partscaster, & a PRS CE semi.

I'll take Blackie. Not because I necessarily want it, or even like it. But just so none of you can have it !!
