We call mutton lamb in the US, and it's available most of the year from here or New Zealand. Duck is also available, goose, not as much. Had duck just the other night:

As I understand Mutton is around 2 years old, Hogget is over 1 year and lamb is first year, pra'hps a farmer here can advise if I'm wrong

Hey SW, I'm the type of guy that admits when I make a mistake..I did not even realize I was in the Sidewinders grill forum. ( until right now) As you can see ...I've only been in the Strat forums yea my fat finger must have hit the wrong button and I saw dinner plates and I was like ...what? So again please except my apologies to you and the crew. Enjoy your dinner.

Thats cool David no worries , we get a few that come just to have a go and make silly comments so I jumped in as ukoldgit is a friend of mine on here . Peace out and enjoy the forum , side winders is the everyday bit where there's general chat and a bit of silliness. Lets wipe our mouths and move on :thumb:

I was gonna cook a turkey but it had gone off and smelled... Well, not nice. I now have 10 lbs of turkey stuffed down the trash. I had to run up to the store to buy a piece of meat instead, then fire up the grill. It turned out nice with grilled meat, oven baked potatoes, sallad with greek cheese and deep fried beet roots and home made bearnaise.
