...is called Vasquez Rocks. It was one of the hideouts for the California Robin Hood...Tiburcio Vasquez. He was eventually hung.

So this is called The Last Ride of Tiburcio Vasquez.

Nice :thumb: Has a Hank Marvin/Shadows vibe to it.

Do you record the guitar through an amp or is it done through your pc?

    Thanks guys!

I record the guitars dry through the interface. Amp models/fx are added after tracking.

It was played on my wiggle stick Tele. The neck pickup has a short in it so it sounds really hollow.

Muy bueno on the back story. I dig it a lot.

Muy bueno in the tone and the tune. I dig them both a lot.

Someone should make a movie about him. :)

    From der Wiki:

Vasquez was popular in the Mexican-American community, and had many friends and family members from Santa Rosa in Northern California to Los Angeles in the south. He was handsome, literate, charming, played guitar, and was a skillful dancer. Women were attracted to him and he had many love affairs. He enjoyed reading romantic novels and writing poetry for his female admirers. He had several affairs with married women, one of which eventually led to his downfall.

Cool, a Santa Rosa connection. I’ll have to see what the local historians know... he sounds like an interesting character.

I used to drive weekly form Trona to San Pedro and the Vasquez Rocks could be seen from 14 along the way. livng and working there was such a lyrical but haunted feeling. just like this tune.

Is there a problem with the link?

Usually I can listen to Soundcloud segments right here in the page; clicking this one takes me to the generic Soundcloud home page instead.

Could you please post an address without using the link or media buttons?
    Thanks.
