I'm a great fan of the Beatles, since their arrival at Ed Sullivan show. They are responsable to get me to guitar playing... it's now 53 years i'm playing and still play lot of Beatles songs. I have a great collection of Beatles souvenirs, and my Studio is dedicated to them. My favorite Beatle always been JOHN LENNON, mostly for his "special" pesonnality...a bum of a good family. Also for his music of course. My favorite song of all time beiing IMAGINE... In second place, I love the guitar playing of GEORGE HARRISON. Goes after with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr... but I love the entire BEATLES together.
In my mind of course they are the best of all time, changing not only music but also life style in the 60's.
    Et voilà...

I can’t vote in this poll. Oh I’m a fan alright but I’m not picking one over the other. The Beatles will forever belong together as a unit. From the spiffy, tight, professional quartet on the Ed Sullivan really big shoe to the final fade out of Abby Road they maintained a standard of excellence unparalleled in the history of Rock&Roll! John early leadership or Paul later leadership...George’s kicking and screaming little brother trying to be heard or even Ringo’s ability to sing a #1 song.

I’ll pass on the vote but thanks for the post anyway.

How can you possibly vote on this? They’re all great. I’m just glad they all lived in the same area when they decided to form a band.

Ringo has never interested me, John was a great songwriter but a Grade A P***k and George seemed like the most genuine but I know little about him. I voted Paul as he seems to be the best alround character and I've never really heard anything negative about him.

    Ok, I'll play.

Paul is my favorite. He's the best writer, best on the largest number of instruments, a genius.

    George, for his guitar playing.

Ringo, for his sense of humor and because it seems like it would be mean to put him last.

John- well, also an amazing songwriter and a great, great rock and roll singer, but someone's gotta go last.

As songwriters: John & Paul. Hard to choose between them, they both wrote a lot of really good songs--and the collaborations between them are really great.

As vocalists: John and Paul. John's got a little more edge to his voice and a "harder" rock sensibility, while Paul is a truly great pop singer. I give a slight edge to John.

As instrumentalists: Ringo is a good drummer, I'm hard pressed to think of any other rock drummers I'd call "almost as good" but I can easily come up with drummers who are better. John is a good pianist, but he's not any better at it than Paul. John is a good guitarist, but he's nowhere near as good as George. George is a very solid guitarist who uses tons of weird jazz chords; the Beatles wouldn't have been very good without him. Paul McCartney is a virtuoso, though--some of those bass parts are really complicated. Also he's a damn fine piano player. And Paul McCartney is one of very few people who can play complicated bass parts while singing. It's a special talent, I can't think of anyone else who can sing as well while playing bass as well at the same time. I mean, Geddy Lee might be a better bassist and he sings while playing equally complex bass parts--but he doesn't sing nearly as well as Paul.
